James A. Ryffel is founder and President of Woodcrest Capital and Woodcrest Enterprises, Inc., which was founded in 1981 to pursue investments opportunities, broker and acquire commercial and multifamily real estate, operates under Woodcrest Real Estate and Woodcrest Management.

Ryffel is the Manager and founding Partner of Woodcrest Capital, LLC, a Fort Worth, Texas based diversified investment and venture finance firm. Ryffel was a founding investor and former director of Flashnet Communications, Inc., one of the largest Internet Service Providers (ISP) in North America. The company was sold to Mexico-based, Prodigy. Mr. Ryffel was also the founding investor in Data Tailor Corporation, a past winner of Macintosh Software of the Year. Through Woodcrest Capital, Ryffel is a participant in strategic investing for the oil and gas, media, entertainment, technology, software, healthcare, ranching, and banking industries. He serves as President and member of the Board of Directors of the Longhorn Council of the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the high Adventure and Philmont Ranch committee for the Boy Scouts of America, benefactor and founder of the Ryffel Entrepreneurship Center at Texas Christian University, and a founding board member of Camp Eagle, a Christian camp for children located in the Texas hill country.

Woodcrest Portfolio and Partnerships own properties throughout Texas and is primarily concentrated in neighborhood retail, suburban office and strategically located land on freeways, major arteries and is the path of rapid growth for housing, which includes proposed thoroughfares and arteries.

Ryffel is a founding partner of Inventity Group, a professional consulting practice that creates, guides, and expands businesses on behalf of it's clients and partners. The Inventity Team seeks to apply their knowledge and creativity to create value for enterprises around the world.

General Partners of Inventity Group are located in California and Tokyo. The general partners have been involved for many years in technology, venture capital, and served as advisors and senior management to companies in areas of strategic planning, product development and marketing.

Inventity's current fund, named the Inventity Global Fund II, LP, will concentrate on technology and logistics companies. Current fund investments include New Vine Logistics, On Ramp, Fortify and LignUp.

Woodcrest Oil and Gas was founded in 1998 to take advantage of the cheapest oil and gas prices. Woodcrest Oil and Gas currently owns a portfolio of working and royalty interests in Texas and currently active in the Barnett Shale gas opportunities in North Texas.

Mr. Ryffel holds a B.B.A. Degree, MBA Degree, and Ranch Management Certification from Texas Christian University. He is a native of Bozeman, Montana. He lives with his family in Fort Worth, Texas.

Teresa Manire is the Executive Assistant to the President. As Mr. Ryffel’s personal assistant, she is the administrator of Woodcrest Capital. Teresa also handles all property refinancing, in addition to the acquisitions. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Shelley McMahon is an Administrative Assistant. She carries out the collection and allocation of rent payments, the maintaining of rent records, and the sending of late invoices and notices in addition to providing support for the executive staff. Spending time with friends and family is important to Shelley, and she loves family cookouts, Texas Rangers games, and several outdoor sports. Shelley is currently working on degrees in Communication Design and Business Management at the University of North Texas.

Jon McDaniel is the Leasing Manager of Woodcrest Capital. He oversees all leasing activities and heads up leasing at Fort Worth’s Park Glen Summit, North Richland Hill’s Smithfield Summit, and Arlington’s Cooperstown Square. Jon also works jointly with Dave on the leasing of Arlington’s Cooper Street Market and Plano’s Legacy Plaza. An avid hunter, he loves extended outings that involve hunting and fishing. Jon graduated from Texas Christian University in 2005 with a BBA in Real Estate Finance.

Laci Pirkle, one of Woodcrest’s Leasing Specialists, focuses on project leasing for Watauga’s The Market Place, Richland’s Richland Commons, Watauga’s Anchor Space at Brooks Crossing, Arlington’s Arkansas Lane, Fort Worth’s Summerfields Village, Benbrook’s Benbrook Commons, and the Las Colinas Tech Center. When not traveling, Laci can be found teaching Pilates classes at Inursha Fitness on a regular basis. She graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tarleton State University, and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Dave Roberts

Dave Roberts, a Leasing Specialist, specializes in the centers at Arlington’s Cooper St. Market, Plano’s Legacy Plaza, Weatherford’s College Park, and Azle’s Park Place, as well as the shopping center in Joshua. Dave also works with both land and building acquisitions and sales. With more than six years of Real Estate experience, his goal is to deliver a professional, personal, and successful Real Estate experience every time. Dave graduated from Western Baptist in 2002 with a double major in Communications and English.

Meghann Young, the Property Manager at Woodcrest, manages and coordinates many aspects of all properties, including general maintenance, repairs, insurance, insurance claims, and records of property agreements, as well as automobile and construction equipment administration. She believes you can’t survive in business or in life without a sense of humor, so humor her with a good joke and she might forget that you were late with a payment. Meghann graduated in 2003 from Tarrant County College with an Associates of Business Management.

Paul Wagner

Paul Wagner is the Accounting Manager here at Woodcrest Capital, and as such he deals with the A/R and A/P for all of the shopping centers. An avid fan of technology, Paul also doubles as Woodcrest’s in-house technician. A native Texan, he is also a fan of both the Cowboys and the Rangers, and enjoys dismantling and rebuilding computers when he’s not out hunting or fishing. Paul graduated from the University of North Texas in 1982 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Heather Whiteman, the Accounting Specialist, manages the payrolls for all Woodcrest Capital employees and contractors. While also the liaison to the company’s CPAs, she manages several other accounts and is also the lead webmaster for Woodcrest’s websites. Outside of work, Heather often enjoys a good book, but can also be found spending much time with her friends and family in the great outdoors.
